Upon the startup of MSPP project in late 2011 Bawsanwin is the only village located within the identified permitted area for the project. At the initial stage of the plantation development villagers requested to construct road connecting them to the company main road. At the same time, villagers also requested to build a 2 room school before the opening of the school year 2012. These requests were carried out simultaneously and completed in May 2012.
Succeeding years until present, the company continuously provides support to school children on their yearly school uniforms, stationeries, and subsidized teachers monthly allowance. To boost children’s learning a library was constructed with provision of reading books, television set, skynet, and solar system.
